About Podcasts
What is a 'Podcast'?
A Podcast is a little bit like a radio program, except you get to choose when you want to listen to it. Here's how it works. When we post a new audio recording to our website, your computer will automatically download that file and alert you when it's ready to play. That audio file can be listened to immediately, saved for later, transferred to a portable MP3 player like an iPod or burned to a CD. The software on your computer will usually check for new "episodes" once or twice per day, automatically downloading the new ones as they are posted.
How do I listen to Podcasts?
To take advantage of Podcast technology, you need to download some software. Apple's iTunes software (available for both Mac and PC) is the easiest to use to date. Please download and install iTunes now if you have not already.
The next step is to "subscribe" to the Cornerstone podcast. Do this by clicking one of the "podcast" buttons on the audio page. Your web browser should automatically start iTunes and take you to the Cornerstone podcast page in the iTunes Store (don't worry -- podcasts are free)
If everything worked you will see the Cornerstone Podcast page with a list of available "episodes". You may now "subscribe" to the podcast and get new audio episodes as they arrive. Your podcasts are stored in the "Podcast" folder on the left side panel of the iTunes interface for future listening.
Enjoy!
